Brothers and Sisters:
These are difficult times for so many people and mental health is at the forefront during this pandemic. I have a PWU member who has struggled with mental health issues for years to the point where she is now on LTD indefinitely. On November 19th, her spouse of 11 years committed suicide and she was the one to find him. She rarely leaves her house due to her mental health issues except she did this day. She is struggling with her guilt at not being there for him even though she wrestles with her own demons. Her spouse is from Nova Scotia and she is now working through all the red tape to get his body there and attend the funeral. Nova Scotia has not opened its borders for non-essential travel so she had to get special approval from the government. I am looking for donations to raise money for her flight and hotel. I would appreciate any money you are able to give and then I will ask the PWU if they could match the donation.
